About FarzadB Gas field Farzad B is an offshore natural gas field located in Persian Gulf (Iran). It lies in the Farsi block on the border between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The FarzadB gas field holds 23 trillion cubic feet of inplace gas reserves of which about 60% is recoverable. It also holds gas condensates of about 5000 barrels per billion cubic feet of gas. The gas field was discovered in 2008 by OVL the overseas investment arm of Indias stateowned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC). Other Indian investments in Iran Chabahar Port It is located in the Gulf of Oman at the SistanBaluchistan province of energy rich Iran on the Makran Coast. It is jointly being developed by India Iran and Afghanistan for multimodal transport of goods and passengers.Port has geographical proximity with India with distance from Kandla port Gujarat to Chabahar to be around 1000 kms and that from Chabahar to Mumbai around 1450 kms. Chabahar has two terminals  Shahid Kalantari and Shahid Beheshti. Shahid Beheshti is being developed jointly by India Afghanistan and Iran under the Trilateral Transit Agreement signed in 2016. India has been granted a 10year lease to develop and operate two terminals and five berths at Shahid Beheshti Port in Chabahar.
